Therapy for Stress and Anxiety
There is a much better way to understand and work with stress, anxiety, and pressure leading to a better experience
of life.
STRESS, ANXIETY,
AND A CONSTANT
SENSE OF PRESSURE
DON’T COME
OUT OF NOWHERE.
Stress and anxiety can show up in a lot of different ways.
A constant sense of pressure. Difficulty slowing down. Feeling on edge, overwhelmed, or unable to fully relax. At times, it can feel like your mind won’t turn off, or like you’re carrying more than you can realistically hold.
There are ways to manage these experiences that are effective—and for many people, they provide real relief. But often, stress and anxiety are connected to something deeper. Patterns of responsibility, internal pressure, or ways of relating to yourself and others that have developed over time.
From an attachment perspective, anxiety is often tied to how you’ve learned to anticipate, respond, and stay ahead of potential problems. For some, this means constantly scanning, preparing, or trying to stay in control. For others, it shows up as over-responsibility, difficulty resting, or a sense that things will fall apart if you let your guard down.
These patterns are not random. They are learned responses that once made sense, but over time can become limiting, exhausting, or overwhelming. This is where therapy begins to shift from simply managing symptoms to understanding what’s underneath them.
Therapy becomes a space to slow things down, understand how these patterns operate, and begin to relate to them differently. Over time, this can lead to a greater sense of calm, more clarity in how you respond to stress, and less reactivity in situations that would have previously felt overwhelming. It can also create more space for rest, for focus, and for a clearer sense of direction in your life.
This work takes place in individual therapy, with a focus on both the experience of anxiety and the patterns that sustain it.
